The Wikimedia Enterprise team is looking for passionate business builders who love to win, have strong business ethics, and communicate at the highest level. As the Enterprise team’s first Sales Development Representative, you’ll play an important role in driving revenue growth by developing a strong pipeline of prospective customers for the business and collecting feedback from prospective customers to further improve our products. If you’re interested in building a SaaS business from the ground up inside the largest organization of public knowledge in history, this role is for you.

Remote position, no travel required. This is an hourly position and is not commission based.

You are responsible for:

Being the first Wikimedia Enterprise ambassador and set the standard for a great first impression to prospective customers
Responding to and qualify incoming web, email, and phone inquiries
Proactively identifying, nurturing, and growing new business opportunities through cold and warm phone calls, emails, and social media messaging
Maintaining accountability for objectives and key results including qualified meetings and opportunities
Providing regular feedback to Product and Growth team members around challenges and agreements alike in a quest to find product-market fit as an organization
Documenting everything, and help leadership establish the baseline process for how SDR will be run on the Wikimedia Enterprise team
Skills and Experience:

An outreach mindset – you’re ready to cold call or email to build a list of prospects, as well as reach out to new users who are just trying out the product, helping everyone get the information they need to be successful
An entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to handle ambiguity and change while maintaining a steady process
Willingness to have calls with prospective customers outside of typical working hours, knowing you may flex time whenever necessary
Excellent communication skills including writing, speaking, listening, and cold-calling
6+ months performing lead generation for a high-volume SaaS business
A history of exceeding objectives
Expert user of social media and business tools including LinkedIn, Twitter, G2, and monitoring tools
6+ months experience using a CRM
Inside sales experience is a plus

Wikimedia Enterprise aims to improve the user experience for Wikimedia/Wikipedia readers beyond our own websites; increase the reach and discoverability of Wikimedia/Wikipedia content; and improve awareness and ease of attribution and verifiability of Wikimedia/Wikipedia content by the organizations that reuse our content the most. Learn everything there is to know about Wikimedia Enterprise – current customers, pipeline, the product, the team, and more
Immediately work through the entire list of historical leads who have already been contacted, introducing yourself and new product offerings
Document the status quo, and continue documenting a new, rigorous outreach process
Setup your first meetings with leadership, working towards closing your first deal
Generate your first Opportunity
Kickoff a new outreach process to target companies, defined by you and the team
