Kiva’s Review and Translation Program is happy to announce that applications for the 2016-17 class of Volunteer Team Leaders are now open through May 31st 2016! Kiva relies on 400 volunteers to edit, translate, and review loan profiles posted to the Kiva website. These volunteers from all over the world have different backgrounds and professions but are united by their support and passion for Kiva’s mission. To keep our volunteers motivated and engaged, we rely on a cohort of Team Leaders who harness their teams’ skills and talents to help make a social impact.

At a Glance:
+ Lead and manage a team of up to 35 fellow volunteers
+ Remote, flexible schedule
+ 13 month term, including training starting August 2016
+ Apply by May 31, 2016

+ Harness the skills of Kiva’s dedicated volunteers through an innovative crowdsourcing model
+ Act as a first line of support for our editors and translators to keep Kiva’s processes efficient and sustainable
+ Help shape the future of the volunteer loan review program at Kiva

+ Strong communicators who speak English at a native level
+ Can commit four to six hours a week for 13 months
+ Enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred experience:
+ Managing volunteers
+ Working with or managing geographically distributed teams
+ Spanish, Russian, French, or Portuguese translation (not required, but a plus)
