They have an exciting opportunity for a Kodak Solar Engineer to head up the product testing, training and development & content related to their client’s Kodak product range! If you have what it takes to maximise their client’s market share in South Africa through understanding customer’s technical support needs, this could be a job for you!
To be the right person for the job, you will need 3+ years of experience within South Africa’s solar industry, previous solar technical support experience as well as a degree in Electrical Engineering. To succeed in this role, you need to be a people person in order to thoroughly understand and meet the needs of customers you will be providing support to – this also requires you to have great written and verbal communication skills! As a Solar Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing product performance issues, develop simpler fault-finding techniques, provide customers with post-sales support, and carry out product testing when required. You are someone who has a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements of South Africa’s solar industry as well as great project management skills. Additionally, this opportunity will require you to travel both nationally and internationally when necessary.

Degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years experience in the Solar Industry
Solar technical support experience
Proven experience with PV inverters
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the SA solar industry
Robust off-grid, residential and battery backup systems knowledge
