Pay Range Details

$84,657.92 – $98,414.83 Annually

JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Donor Communications and Engagement  is a key contributor to CARE’s efforts to build meaningful relationships with major donors. This role involves partnering with the Major Gifts Leadership Team and frontline fundraisers and collaborating across departments at CARE to design and implement thoughtful stewardship and engagement strategies. By delivering compelling content, tailoring communications to major donor audiences, and coordinating outreach initiatives, the Manager will play a central role in deepening connections with donors and inspiring continued support for CARE’s mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Donor Communications

  • Manage an annual calendar of communications and stewardship touchpoints for major donors and prospects.
  • Track and provide regular updates on CARE events, publications, and thought leadership relevant to major donor audiences. Manage the details and execution of major donor fundraising efforts, including campaigns, emergency appeals, and timely stewardship activities.
  • Draft timely and tailored donor communications, including cover notes, report summaries, event invitations, and other materials to support fundraisers.
  • Curate and share relevant content to educate and inform donors about the impact of their support.
  • Monitor global events and humanitarian issues, identifying opportunities to engage donors.

Team Collaboration and Support

  • Partner with teams across CARE (Marketing, Events, Office of the President, Programs, etc.) to identify opportunities for building relationships with key donors, advisors, and investors.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on communications targeted to major donor audiences during CARE events, donor travel, and other meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Grants Management and Resource Development Content teams to provide timely and compelling impact reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for fundraisers seeking collateral, impact reports, and other resources.
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in major stewardship or direct engagement with major donors.
– Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and family philanthropists.
