The Communications team is looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Events Operations Manager to manage in all elements of event execution.

The Event Operations Associate will report to the Director, Global Events and will coordinate with the GIIN programmatic teams on agenda development, and manage speaker recruitment and tracking, marketing database management, event website and landing page management, attendee attraction strategy and execution, venue management, planning, logistics and budget for events. This position closely collaborates with internal departments and outside vendors and reports to the Director of Global Events and will be part of a small team.

Overview of Responsibilities
• Project manage events from speaker research and recruitment through post-event assessment.
• Work with each department (Membership, Development, Finance, etc.) to maintain the highest standards of delivery to our members and strategic partners.
• Create and maintain organized and detailed meeting assets to ensure smooth execution.
• Liaise with our sponsors and speakers.
• Manage external consultants and contractors.
• Researching potential speakers and topics for conference sessions. Extend speaking invitations. Manage speaker tracker in salesforce.
• Oversee the building of the registration sites and landing pages for events.
• Be a resource for marketing partners and delegates.
• Manage day-to-day event operations and including interfacing with our outside meeting services team.
• Work with marketing to create event content for the website and social media.
• Manage the tracking all meeting KPIs.
• Manage internal and external conference calls to assure progress against deadlines.
• Ensure completion of post-event tasks – surveys, best practices, etc.
• Monitor innovations and best practices in the conference space.
• Other duties, projects, and tasks as per business need, and assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
Must haves
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 Suite with a strong focus on Excel
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM
• Experience with Google docs
• Excellent communication and proof-reading skills
• Excellent research skills
• Superior organizational skills
• Quick learner with a curious mind, the drive to learn whatever skills and software tools needed and a passion for efficiency.
• Appreciation and a general understanding of the impact investing industry.

Other requirements
• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in event operations management, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; results oriented.
• Experience in managing event logistics, budget and operational excellence.
• Ability to successfully multi-task, delegate, and manage several tasks at once in fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal

Location: This position will be based in our New York City office with significant remote work flexibility offered through the GIIN’s hybrid in-person/remote work model.

Compensation: Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience. Salary range for this role is $61,000 – $72,000 with an excellent benefits package.
