Y Analytics is TPG’s innovative capability, purpose-built to understand and improve the environmental and social impacts of deployed capital. Their mission is to increase the amount and effectiveness of capital allocation for the greater good, as described in the UN SDGs, by increasing trust in the social and environmental impact achieved by that capital.Y Analytics was launched in parallel to The Rise Fund and founded in partnership with TPG/Rise to provide best-in-class insights and tools that improve capital allocation decisions. Their rigorous approach to impact assessment and management draws on evidentiary academic and economic research, enabling greater use of evidence in capital allocation decision making and impact valuation. They serve The Rise Fund platform ($4+ billion under management), and this role will directly support their team’s impact assessments and decision-making support to Rise.Y Analytics is also responsible for managing sustainability/ESG across TPG. They support TPG and its portfolio companies by assessing and advising on value creation through Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) performance.

As they continue to grow, they are leveraging their capabilities in new and innovative ways and sharing their learnings with the broader investment and research communities.

This position will serve in a player/coach capacity to manage Y Analytics’ partnership with The Rise Fund, to determine the impact of Rise’s investments or other business decisions. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Developing quantitative social and environmental impact assessments of Rise’s potential investments and portfolio companies, based on evidentiary research
• Allocating workload and ensuring quality of deliverables across team of Associates supporting the above work
• Serving as primary liaison to Rise Fund senior leaders and deal teams on live deals/companies

• Commitment to Y Analytics’ mission to improve the future of humanity and their planet through effective capital allocation for the greater good
• Experience and enthusiasm for conducting, interrogating, interpreting and applying third-party academic research to analysis
• Exceptional quantitative analytics capabilities: must be able to quickly and accurately analyze data and create complex quantitative models, with an aptitude to quickly get familiar on academic research, company and/or public data, and impact valuation models
• Exceptional written and verbal communication: must be able to quickly identify key drivers and sensitivities in quantitative analyses, synthesize these findings in presentations and written documents, and communicate these to senior leadership and clients
• Experience managing client relationships (including those with senior management teams)
• Experience managing and motivating diverse teams to deliver high quality client outputs
• Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience
• Prior full-time experience performing highly quantitative work at a top tier strategy/impact consulting firm, financial firm, or similar, is strongly preferred
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
