Numida is a financial services technology company based in Kampala, Uganda and we help Ugandan small businesses grow. We do this through our mobile application which enables Ugandan entrepreneurs to keep good financial records, make better business decisions, and easily access affordable and unsecured credit directly from their phone.

We believe that small businesses are the cornerstone of the African economy, providing essential goods and services to their communities. We are looking for a self-driven manager for our user acquisition and learning team. This individual will work directly with the CEO and will drive the recruitment of Ugandan small business owners to the Numida app. This role is reserved for someone who has experience selling products to Ugandan small business owners or providing business advisory support services to these businesses.

-Develop and iterate on our user acquisition strategy, set ambitious goals, and continuously monitor and report progress towards these goals
-Conduct user acquisition A/B tests to determine the most effective messaging and marketing methods for getting small business owners onto the Numida app
-Spend significant time with users understanding the challenges they face when it comes to adopting the Numida app – advise the product management team of any roadblocks to adoption
-Regularly update our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and develop our user onboarding strategy
-Monitor our user acquisition funnel and determine strategies to increase conversion rates to consistent user
-Develop our user referral strategy – how do we get existing Numida users to refer the product?
-Be the go-to user support specialist and delegate support as needed
-In due time, build and manage a User Acquisition team, depending on the elected user acquisition strategy

-An East African (desired)

-3+ years of experience doing product/service sales to Ugandan small businesses or an experienced small business technical support provider from an aid sector or finance background (in short, you have experience working with Ugandan small businesses)
-Proficient in mobile technology – you are experienced with Android smartphone and productivity applications
-Excellent communication & relationship building skills
-High level of empathy and listening skills – you are patient enough to truly understand the needs and wants of Numida’s users
-Experience building products for small businesses (desired)
-Strong data analysis skills (desired)
