All roles at CapShift require flexibility and collaboration, given the start-up nature of the organization. CapShift is looking for a Business Development Manager/Senior Director (title based on experience) who will:
Responsibilities
Business development leadership
Lead the expansion and refinement of the sales and growth strategy and playbook
Manage revenue reporting and forecasting for the executive team and Board of Directors
Support CapShift’s presence in the industry, including travel to conferences, leading webinars, and direct meetings with prospects
Oversee a multi-person sales team (full and part-time), including building out training, messaging, incentives, and individual goals
Report to the CEO
Advisor and family office relationship management
Play a lead role in generating and cultivating new relationships in the advisor and family office segment
Develop strategy and execute new institutional and channel partnerships within the financial services and wealth management sectors
Be prepared to travel 2-3x per month
Client Engagement :
Coordinate with the Client team to build out advisor and client rep relationships with a growing set of wealth advisors and DAF providers, to deepen their adoption of CapShift’s platform
Team leadership:
Play a leader-player role that will require coordinating a team of sales leads with deep industry expertise and serving as a sales lead, specifically on our most complex institutional sales
Deeply understand CapShift’s mission, value proposition, and impact investing solution to effectively communicate with potential clients, in coordination with Product and Marketing teams
Closely coordinate with the Marketing team to develop collateral, campaigns, and event ideas to drive brand awareness and lead generation – on topics such as climate change, social justice, community investing, and global health
Play an active role in creating company culture and building processes to support scale
Qualifications
10-15 years or more of experience in business development leadership across the private wealth and/or charitable sectors (advisors, family offices, foundations, donor advised funds, and the overall high net worth wealth market)
Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding individual and organizational sales goals
Well-developed understanding of impact investing tools and products and how the private wealth and charitable sectors utilize them in their practice and portfolios
Excellence in leading consultative sales of complex technology, advisory, or investment services
A passion to work for a mission-driven and high-growth, flexible startup environment in which employees are expected to take on multiple responsibilities (prior startup experience preferred)
Proficiency with Salesforce and sales forecasting and reporting
Prior experience in managing a relationship-driven sales process and team
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
