|Splash Social Enterprises (SSE) is an award-winning, lean, and fast-paced social enterprise. We are a mission-aligned subsidiary of Splash International established in 2018 to design and sell world class handwashing and drinking water stations for low- and middle-income market customers. To date, we have sold over 4,000 stations for use in schools where Splash International works in India and Ethiopia and recently made our first sale to a third-party. To grow the business, we have leveraged both philanthropic grants and impact investments. After considerable research, interviews with target clients, and the development of a go-to-market strategy, SSE is embarking on an exciting new phase of growth and impact.

We are looking for a highly experienced leader who will be responsible for the success of the overall business, including vision, strategy, people, product development, sales, and marketing. They will understand the international development context and make purposeful connections between SSE products and global clients. The Managing Director will balance product strategy and the growth of our sales portfolio with Splash International’s values, vision, and charitable mission. As part of a global, close-knit team, this role will shape the strategy for SSE’’s expansion as we launch third-party sales and explore other compelling opportunities.
A successful candidate will be able to position the enterprise for profitability and growth, serving as a product evangelist and entrepreneur. They will have start-up experience, ideally in bringing innovations to scale for low- and middle-income markets.
You would be reporting to Splash International’s Chief Partnership Officer who oversees all social enterprise work. You will be in charge of recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching SSE staff which currently consists of a Project Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.

Refine and lead SSE’s mission, strategy, and metrics as business transitions from early stage to growth stage
You have launched and led your own business or organization and/or have a proven track record of significantly scaling social impact in a leadership role.

The annual salary for this position is $120,000. This will be reviewed at least annually.
SSE provides generous benefits including 18 days of paid time off, increasing by 2 days each year up to 28 days, 24 sick days, and 11 paid holidays.
Wellness Fridays; medical, dental, and vision; and a 401K pension with 3% match.
We provide additional paid time off for all U.S. staff between December 26 to New Year’s Eve to recognize end-of-year stress and time for reflection, rejuvenation and planning for the holidays.
