THE POSITION
You will serve as an integral member of Agora’s team, leading the global communications and marketing strategy to project and amplify Agora’s brand. You will guide the strategy for all communications, website, and social media and for developing all print and digital materials aimed at advancing Agora’s mission and contributing to the success of Agora’s programs and fundraising efforts. You will work closely with a small but dedicated team to effectively and compellingly tell the story of Agora and it’s entrepreneurs to a diverse network of stakeholders (including donors, entrepreneurs, investors, alumni, etc.). This is a role with significant opportunity to build out Agora’s communications strategy, combining your strategic thinking, creativity, writing and editing, and project management skills.

You will be based in Agora’s downtown Washington, D.C. office and will report directly to the Director of Strategy and Partnerships. Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
-Develop and lead organization-wide communications strategy (Create and implement organization-wide annual communications plan. Effectively communicate the stories and successes of Agora\’s programs and entrepreneurs)
-Create high-level marketing and other communications materials (Manage and execute development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including regular newsletter, digital fundraising campaigns, brochures, programmatic and fundraising materials, and annual report.
-Manage and execute all event-related communications materials. Supervise Agora\’s remote, part-time graphic designer.)
-Create and lead the public relations strategy of Agora (Work closely with CEO to leverage Agora as a key player in the impact investing ecosystem. Cultivate and maintain relationships with news and media agencies in the US and Latin America.)
-Manage Agora\’s brand (Work closely with CEO to update brand language to effectively communicate Agora\’s programs and mission to key stakeholders. Train all Agora staff on how to effectively use unified brand elements.)
-Manage organization website (English and Spanish language versions) (Work with staff across the organization to ensure content is current, accurate and compelling. Recommend and implement enhancements. Manage search engine optimization.)
-Create and manage all social media content (Create and implement a strategy to engage general audiences with Agora\’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) Develop Agora\’s blog strategy. Source and edit content for blog from partners, funders, entrepreneurs, staff, and consulting fellows.)
-Develop and manage marketing analytics and network segmentation (Develop strategy to segment Agora\’s network using Salesforce and train staff on contact management. Implement a strategy to collect data to determine effectiveness of communications strategies. Track levels of community engagement over time.)

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is passionate about finding entrepreneurial solutions to our most pressing social challenges, and who wants to accelerate a new generation of entrepreneurs towards success. The successful candidate is driven by the desire to find creative and effective ways to share Agora\’s message with a large and diverse audience, enjoys setting up and managing systems just as much as writing and editing presentations and reports, and can spot a missing comma or incorrect font from a mile away. The successful candidate must exhibit Agora\’s core values of agency, empathy, curiosity and perseverance.

Requirements:
-Undergraduate degree and 3-5 years communications, marketing, and PR experience
-Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing successful strategic communications plan
-Digital media communications skills and experience projecting digital presence
-English fluency and Spanish professional working proficiency (intermediate and above)
-Excellent writing and editing skills, with very high attention to detail
-Mastery of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
-Experience with CRMs (preferably Salesforce), WordPress, and Social Media
-Preferred experience in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and graphic design
-Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to two weeks at a time
