ABOUT PATH-BUILDER

Path-Builder is an organisation that aims to empower young people to ‘take action’ towards their purpose. We are looking for a full-time intern who will support the founding team in terms of execution related to communication and outreach of Path-Builder’s activities.

There is keen interest amongst young people to be change-makers and create an impact. There is lack of clarity on various roles, career path & opportunities in the social impact sector and how one can make an impact. Path-Builder through its various initiatives helps enable young people to have a purpose-filled career. By providing access to information, industry connects, insights & knowledge and workshops, we want to create a clan of idealists who will create an equitable, invulnerable and compassionate world.

Path-Builder has launched its weekly job digest that brings a compilation of job opportunities in the social impact sector for candidates with 0-3 years work experience.

Webinar series that brings industry experts and practitioners to share their experience and knowledge to provide practical and relevant information.

Podcast series know as Pathbreaking that brings people working in specific roles/sector providing insight on job opportunities for freshers, giving an overview on what actually is the work on day to day, skills required and hacks on how to crack the first opportunity.

POSITION SUMMARY

Path-Builder is at a start-up stage and in the process of launching its various initiatives to help achieve its vision. As we move towards implementation, we are looking to hire a full time intern who would help drive Path-Builder’s marketing and communication efforts in creating awareness amongst the target segment. The person will support the founding team in developing and implementing the marketing and communication strategy and be a thought part as we brain storm and launch new initiatives.

We encourage freshers to apply. This internship is initially for a period of four (4) months with the potential to become a full time role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the founding team to evolve a comprehensive content plan and prepare a strategic approach in marketing and communicating the content developed.
Compiling, preparing and emailing the weekly job digest.
Creating templates for various outreach and promotional activities. Implementation of promotional activities based on the M&C plan.
Designing collaterals (posters, flyers, reels, videos etc) for various social media channels.
Editing and preparing webinar and podcast recording for sharing on various platforms.
Writing article and preparing content based on topics discussed in webinar and podcast and other relevant topics.
Analyse outcomes of outreach and marketing activities and based on results try new approaches or replicate processes that work.
Taking initiatives in new projects and outreach activities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Freshers are encouraged to apply for the role, ideal candidate has finished graduation and is interested in building a career in the social impact sector.
Drive to achieve results: You have a track record of accomplishing ambitious goals and getting results even when there are obstacles. You set a high bar and meet it, because you think three (or 30) steps ahead to anticipate hurdles and come up with pragmatic solutions. You embrace agility, plan backwards, and involve stakeholders and collaborators appropriately.
Knowledge of social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn and tools to create content.
Knowledge of various collaborative tools: mail merge, google suite, MS office and generally comfortable with technology.
Have good communication skills: be excellent in written and verbal communication in English, be a grammar nazi, ability to write professionally and quirky.
In addition, you bring:

Attention to detail and ability to give 100% to even mundane stuff.
Ability to give feedback and take feedback – we believe in creating an organisation that can be honest and straightforward.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary during the internship role is ₹ 15,000 per month
In addition to a salary, Path-Builder currently offers the following benefits:
4-day work week, you can choose to the extra day off.
24 paid holidays annually, 18 public holidays, unlimited sick leaves (within reason) which means you actually work less than half the year.
No email / No call weekends, unless an emergency.
Remote work and employment at will.
