ABOUT THE GLOBAL IMPACT COLLECTIVE
The Global Impact Collective is a Seattle- and Portland-based strategy and design firm committed to advancing human-centered solutions for sustainability and social impact. Our work spans food systems, environmental conservation, and global health. We believe in collaboration, creativity, and making a positive difference in the world. We are a small, but growing, business and are working on a variety of client projects in both the PNW and globally.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join our team for a three-month period. As our Marketing, Communications, and Design Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in amplifying our mission and engaging with diverse stakeholders. This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a purpose-driven organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and Outreach:
• Assist in developing marketing strategies to promote our services and initiatives.
• Create compelling content for social media, newsletters, and website updates.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform our outreach efforts.
• Create and maintain an annual marketing and communications calendar
• Monitor appropriate social media channels and create Impact Collective profiles where appropriate; flag stories or trends that we should amplify
• Develop and document processes
Communications:
• Craft clear and impactful messages for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with team members to produce blog posts, case studies, and other communications.
• Manage our communication channels, including LinkedIn, newsletters, and email, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
Design and Visual Content:
• Assist in maintaining and updating the company website (currently using Wix); integrate new content as directed.
• Use design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually appealing materials such as slide decks, proposals, and client deliverables.
• Develop templates that we can use for the above work.
• Design graphics for social media, presentations, and event collateral.
Event Support:
• Help organize community events, webinars, and workshops.
• Coordinate logistics, invitations, and follow-up communications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently enrolled in school or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant degree program (Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in design software and web platforms (Wix, Squarespace, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hubspot, etc.).
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Passion for corporate sustainability and social impact.
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Sense of humor.

LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:
This three-month internship is remote, with some preference for the candidate being in the Seattle area. The compensation range for this role is $22-$27/hour. We hope the intern can work 15-20 hours per week for the duration of the assignment.
