HOPE International seeks a full-time MFI Training Manager in Lancaster, PA; Durham, NC; Kigali, Rwanda preferred. Remote work will be considered. The MFI Microfinance Institution Training Manager is responsible for supporting the HOPE microfinance institution (MFI) network in achieving MFI team objectives, with emphasis on staff development and client training. To do this, the role will champion MFI staff and client learning at HOPE International as a practice with an emphasis on training to support team objectives. This role is also the primary MFI team lead for client engagement support and external training relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International via:

1 – MFI Client Learning and Engagement

  • Lead global strategies for client learning and training initiatives for the HOPE MFI Network.
  • Collaborate with MFI program leadership to champion client engagement through client-centricity and high-quality training methods, including relevant digital client engagement methods.
  • Adapt, create, or translate client training curricula to support the needs of the HOPE MFI Network.
  • Track client training product performance in aggregate and at MFI level. Ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis on relevant key performance indicators and holistic outcomes for global training efforts.
  • Support MFI client engagement broadly, including collaborating with other departments in client-centered initiatives related to spiritual integration and/or marketing.

2 – MFI Staff Learning and Development

  • Promote staff learning and development by collaborating with MFI leaders and human resources on aligning professional development strategy with business needs, creation of annual staff development plans, and responding to field staff learning needs.
  • Support in annual trainings such as FCPA and CCDM with support from HR and Finance as well as coordinate relevant network webinars for the MFI network.
  • Develop and maintain MFI training materials and distribute them in the MFI network, including traveling to facilitate in-country trainings and training of trainers as needed.
  • Oversee the process, manage CSU capacity building budgets, and connect staff with external learning and development opportunities to advance MFI strategy.
  • Improve HOPE’s remote and virtual training capabilities by developing MFI-specific content for modules of the Learning Management System (LMS) and promoting best practices in remote and virtual training.
  • Assess and report on holistic outcomes of staff learning and development initiatives in coordination with human resources.

3 – MFI Organizational Learning & Support

  • Manage collaborative partnerships with external training and professional development organizations.
  • Organize and manage the content of the resource library for MFI institutional knowledge.
  • Conduct industry research on learning and development and apply best practices to HOPE’s training and processes.
  • Contribute to MFI project management and new initiatives as needed.
  • Support MFI retreats and in-person/virtual learning events, (MFI retreat, MD retreat, etc.)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
– Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International.
– Bachelor’s degree in business, international development, education, or equivalent.
– Five or more (5+) years of relevant work experience, particularly in the areas of staff and organizational development, preferably in international development or the financial services industry.
– Training experience including applying adult learning principles, instructional design, and organizing and facilitating training events.
– Certification in learning management, instructional design, organizational learning, eLearning, or project management preferred.
– Experience in eLearning software such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate, preferred.
– Self-motivated organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of multiple deadlines.
– Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with employees across the organization, locally and remotely, across cultures, and with external stakeholders.
– Strong analytical skills.
– Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
– Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 75 days per year.
– Foreign language fluency in French, Spanish, Kinyarwanda, or other language used in HOPE MFIs, a plus.

Salary Range: US base*:$55,000-$65,000
