This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Development Credit, Mission Transaction Unit. As a Project Finance Specialist you will be responsible for analysis and communication of guarantee agreement compliance and risk exposure through management and maintenance of reporting and compliance processes, portfolio risk analysis, innovation and maintenance of data collection and analysis platforms. Major Duties: Diligent loan guaranty monitoring through the review of all financial and project information (e.g. lender reports, loan file reviews) for compliance with loan guaranty agreements and in line with Agency policy and procedures. Conducts in-depth analyses and interprets loan documentation, core banking system readouts, and additional highly technical financial documents to determine the veracity of financial reporting and loan qualification under contractual obligations. Refine and consolidate complex decentralized loan schedule reports from partners and identify errors, likely causes, and potential solutions through provision of additional documentation or changes in financial institution partners’ reporting processes. Executes ongoing loan file analysis of guaranteed loans across a global portfolio of lenders of different segments and levels of sophistication, and use the reviews to identify compliance issues within guaranteed loan portfolios as well as troubleshoot and update the system itself to maintain quality and control across the global loan portfolio. Interprets loan documentation, core banking system readouts, and additional highly technical financial documents to determine the status of defaulted loans and diligently prepare and review claim packages and ensure all claim requirements are met prior to making a recommendation for claim payment. Liaise with stakeholders to track claim payments, test out more efficient processes, and lead improvements on claim payout efficiencies in line with or exceeding team strategic targets. Ensure portfolio results and ongoing portfolio performance indicators are verified and organized, and regularly communicate results of performance and risk analysis. Manage information sharing and invoicing systems across teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments in multiple currencies across the global portfolio. Work across inter-agency partners such as the Treasury Department, State Department, USAID, and OMB to coordinate and troubleshoot payments and other administrative and monitoring processes.
