The Project Manager will be an integral part of Instiglio’s leadership, advising clients on important decisions and helping Instiglio as an organization to make smart and effective decisions on growth, strategy and sustainability. With the high-level support of the junior partners and implementation support of the project teams, you will be guiding the day-to-day operations as well as strategizing the vision to reach short- and long-term project goals. As Project Manager, you will also be an ambassador for Instiglio’s mission and work globally. Tasks may include:

 Developing and managing project scope and budget. Adjusting and course-correcting to meet execution needs.

 Leading the day-to-day workplan, overseeing the internal team in projects to ensure that we reach shortand long-term targets.

 Building strong relationships with private and public sector organizations and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships.

 Monitoring and understanding all of the project details, including complex technical concepts.

 Designing and delegating activities and tasks to achieve the most effective results within the team.

 Communicating Results-Based Financing in an eloquent and approachable manner for diverse stakeholders.

 Mastering all elements of RBF advisory work to effectively advise technical decisions in projects.

 Actively improving our Results-Based Financing services and our delivery approaches.



 At least 6 years of relevant work experience in international development, the public sector or/and in development policy.

 BA degree in economics, development economics, statistics, or related fields.

 A relevant master’s degree, preferably with emphasis on technical coursework such as economics and statistics.

 Exceptional written and oral communication skills both in English and Spanish.

 Exceptional structured-thinking and problem solving:

Project Managers are expected to create the most pertinent frameworks to structure analysis, while making use of all relevant contextual factors, perspectives and criteria. Managers are expected to identify an efficient path for analysis and prioritizes issues to get solved.

 Exceptional strategic thinking skills: Project Managers are expected to quickly understand the changes in the environment, the main constraints and challenges affecting their clients and develop appropriate strategies to ensure their advice is actionable.

 Excellent client relationship skills: Project Managers are expected to explain complex RBF and PM-related concepts to the client in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Managers are expected to build rapport with clients, managing to engage with them and generating trust specially when communicating delicate matters.

 In project, Managers are responsible to ensure that the client’s needs have been met and that we consistently deliver value to them.



Here is what we think it takes to succeed in this role:

 Work experience in consultancy and/or professional advisory experience.

 Knowledge on Results-Based financing mechanisms and/or experience related to the field.

 Strong people skills. This person can relate well with people from different backgrounds, build trust and solve problems in a genuine way.

 Motivation to self-start and take full ownership over work. Entrepreneurial skills
