|In this role, you will lead the insights function of our ClimateTech team to deliver new and persuasive research that identifies, promotes, informs and advances digital innovations that enable low- and middle-income countries to transition to low-carbon and climate-resilient economies.
You will formulate our learning agenda and lead programme’s research function via work with external contractors as well as through your own research efforts. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality research output in an actionable format. You will ensure that GSMA ClimateTech is positioned as the industry leader and key collaborator on the topic of digital technology’s role for achieving environmental sustainability. You will present the research findings and output at a range of external and internal events.
You will work closely with a broad range of external stakeholders (e.g. mobile operators, technology vendors and institutional actors), as well as with internal stakeholders within the programme and the broader GSMA.
Your excellent communication skills will allow you to build a solid understanding of the ecosystem, identify key stakeholders and trends, and recognise nascent opportunities. You will establish and maintain programme’s relationship network, building a strong community of practitioners with a shared vision of leveraging private sector and digital technology capabilities to solve the environmental challenges of our time.
You will formulate and communicate strategic and business frameworks to inform programme’s future implementation work on key topics and use-cases.
To achieve results, you will use your outstanding ability to explain technology concepts to non-tech audiences. You will also be able to clearly present strategic view, commercial rational, global best practice and viable business models for stakeholders. You will do so through a variety of formats and channels, including face-to-face presentations, adapting to your audience needs.

The GSMA ClimateTech programme works to unlock the power of digital technology in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs), to enable their transition towards a low-carbon and climate-resilient future. We do this through the collective support of the mobile industry, as well as public and private actors.

We also catalyse vital partnerships. Between the GSMA, the mobile industry, tech innovators, governments and the development sector.
