Our values of integrity, compassion, innovation, and a deep sense of humility guide our grantmaking which is executed quietly, and most grants carry external anonymity.POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Foundations’ Strategy & Impact team, the Senior Associate will partner with program officers to increase the impact and efficiency of grantmaking by conducting research and analysis that guide philanthropic investments. The Senior Associate will contribute to the development of the Foundations’ strategies, while gaining exposure across grant portfolios and supporting organization-wide learning efforts. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Facilitating strategy development by taking a data-driven approach and effectively communicating key messages –> Quantitative and qualitative analysis to deeply understand a sector, region or organization through data analytics, secondary research, and interviews –> Analysis of issues most pertinent to a regional community and/or of interest to the Foundations, including identification of trends, best practices, opportunities, and gaps –> Assessment of philanthropic and/or nonprofit landscape for a region or issue –> Exploration of broader philanthropic and nonprofit trends –> Supporting projects that help advance strategic grantmaking (e.g., tools for program staff) –> Collaborating with program officers, Foundation partners, and senior leadership to develop insightful, concise, and clear deliverables that communicate findings and analysis CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: |
