Acumen is looking for a Summer Associate to support the fundraising work of our Pakistan team. If you have experience developing a systemic fundraising strategy and are driven to change the impact investment space in Pakistan, this is the role for you.  This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with strong written communication skills, solid experience in fundraising, and a proven commitment to tackling global poverty.

The Summer Associate will help the Pakistan team develop a systematic fundraising strategy that leverages Acumen’s core functions of investment in companies, people and ideas to create prosperity and dignity for all.  A key aspect of this initiative would be to work on putting together an Information Memorandum for the Acumen Pakistan Fund.

More specifically, you may have the opportunity to:

Develop a fundraising strategy for the Pakistan Fund
Put together a strategic roadmap for executing the fundraise effectively
Create a coherent narrative around our ten year investment history and the leadership program
Develop an Information Memorandum for the Acumen Pakistan Fund
Qualifications & Characteristics

Minimum qualifications:

First-year MBA or equivalent candidate
Strong ability to take initiative with research and analysis and produce valuable results in conditions of uncertainty
Capability to present investment ideas in memoranda to senior management and advisors
The ideal candidate will also meet the following criteria:

International work experience
Prior experience on fund raising for setting up a fund
Familiarity with the social enterprise sector

PKR 25,000 per month for 2 months
