Georgetown University is hiring a Sustainability Program and Engagement Coordinator to join its Office of Sustainability, located in a historic neighborhood in the nation’s capital. The coordinator will work with the office’s current full time staff and in collaboration with colleagues across the university to advance Georgetown’s sustainability performance and achieve the university’s sustainability mission, vision and goals.
The position has responsibilities including planning, coordinating and implementing stakeholder engagement activities to inform the Office of Sustainability’s strategic priorities; designing and leading outreach campaigns to achieve sustainable behaviors among the university community; and developing and implementing communications and marketing initiatives that help tell Georgetown’s sustainability story. This position will also play an important role in coordinating an upcoming strategic sustainability planning and design effort at the university.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. This is a 1-year term position with the possibility to be extended pending identification of future funding.
