Talent Summer Associate
Acumen is looking for a summer intern to support our Talent team in making Acumen one of the best places to work in the social impact sector globally! We’re seeking a graduate student with strong detail-orientation and stakeholder management skills to support us in compensation benchmarking studies, compliance, and performance management processes.
Acumen is changing the way the world tackles poverty by investing in companies, leaders and ideas. We invest patient capital in businesses whose products and services are enabling the poor to transform their lives. Founded by Jacqueline Novogratz in 2001, Acumen has invested more than $113 million in 108 companies across Africa, Latin America, South Asia and the United States. We are also developing a global community of emerging leaders with the knowledge, skills and determination to create a more inclusive world. In 2015, Acumen was named one of Fast Company’s Top 10 Most Innovative Not-for-Profit Companies.
Who You Are
You are hardworking, smart, energetic and understand the value of being part of a great team. You know that you have just as much to learn as you have to contribute. You have taken complex projects from start to finish on the power of your own steam. What drives you are the results you know you can create through your analytical skills, creativity, persistence and ability to engage others in your work. You also value the importance of the details, collaborating with colleagues at Acumen and across the sector, and know that it is more important to make well informed decisions than to go it alone.
