Following a successful pilot in 2016, RMG Concept and the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership (CGEP) are launching a farmer services & aggregation (supply chain) enterprise, Acceso LORFOL targeting soybean and maize smallholder farmers in Côte d’Ivoire. Acceso means “access” in Spanish and is the brand of CGEP’s social enterprises around the world. LORFOL means “prosperity” in Senoufo, the language spoken in northern Côte d’Ivoire. This enterprise will support up to 10,000 smallholder farmers through targeted input packages on credit, training and aggregation and quality control of harvest for sale to large buyers.

Position Description
The technology integration fellow is responsible for Acceso LORFOL’s deployment of FarmForce, Mobile Money, and other key business technologies.

Reporting/Supervisor: General Manager
Location: Odienné, Côte d’Ivoire
Contract: Six (6) to twelve (12) month fellowship
Travel: Up to 75% local travel
Compensation: Modest stipend that covers monthly living expenses

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

♣       Plan and oversee FarmForce deployment for all aspects of field staff and farmer network management;
♣       Maximize use of and streamline FarmForce modules within business operations;
♣       Develop training modules and train field staff on all aspects of FarmForce utilization;
♣       Manage all troubleshooting and technical issues related to FarmForce deployment;
♣       Evaluate potential mobile money platforms and needs for use with contract growing system;
♣       Negotiate and coordinate with mobile money platforms to create best value and optimal platform for business and farmers;
♣       Develop deployment strategy resulting in over 75% of farmer network using mobile money platform for financial transactions with in 2017;
♣       Oversee full deployment of mobile money within farmer network, including farmer sign up, field staff training, troubleshooting and testing, etc;
♣       Work on special projects as assigned.

Required Education, Work Experience & Languages
♣       A Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, agriculture or public administration, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred;
♣       Specialized and advanced knowledge of agriculture or agribusiness;
♣       MS Office applications, particularly as related to database structure and data collection, reporting methods, statistical analysis and data management;
♣       Experience with FarmForce a strong plus;
♣       Oral and written working proficiency in English and French.
♣       Passion for the cause: poverty alleviation at scale
