NextBillion is happy to work with like-minded organizations to draw greater attention to their work and insights. Our site reaches many of the key decision-makers in global development and social business – according to our recent reader survey, over half of our readers are either entrepreneurs or executive-level leaders at their organizations. Given that profile, a partnership can offer an organization substantial exposure to the leaders who are shaping the future of development through enterprise.
Our approach to partnerships is fairly unique:
- We focus on businesses and organizations of all sizes, and in all sectors, as long as they’re working to make an impact on development challenges in emerging markets and other low-income communities around the world.
- We design partnership packages based on a sponsor’s specific needs and budget. Most of these packages are structured around a series of guest-written articles and interviews, featured events coverage, and an expanded plan for social media promotion of this content. The cost of the partnership package is based on the total number of articles, interviews and events to be featured, and the extent of the social media and other promotion to be conducted.
- We ask partners to follow NextBillion’s overall approach to knowledge sharing, as outlined in our writers guidelines: In other words, we ask that they avoid overt promotion and focus instead on sharing usable insights that advance knowledge in the broader sector. Our goal is to not only promote partners’ work, but to give these organizations an opportunity to strengthen their positions as thought-leaders in their industries by sharing their experiences – including both successes and challenges – with our readers.
