Prashant Yadav and Andrea Bare
William Davidson Institute

Prashant Yadav is a senior research fellow at the William Davidson Institute (WDI) and director of the Health Care Research Initiative at WDI. He also holds faculty appointments at the Ross School of Business and the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. A leading expert on pharmaceutical and health care supply chains in developing countries, his research explores the functioning of health care supply chains using a combination of empirical, analytical and qualitative approaches. He serves as an adviser in the area of pharmaceutical supply chains to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, World Bank, World Health Organization, UK Department for International Development and many other global health organizations. He was previously a professor of supply chain management at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and a research affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. He earned a Ph.D. from the Manderson Graduate School of Business at the University of Alabama, a master’s in business administration from the FORE School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

 

Andrea Bare is senior advisor, Market Dynamics, at the William Davidson Institute. Andrea recently joined WDI with 18 years of experience in strategy and business consulting for global pharmaceutical companies, with expertise in U.S. and global payer systems. Previously Andrea led business opportunity assessment and cross-functional product and market teams for the Dow Chemical Co. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Michigan.
