MobiKwik, one of the leading mobile wallet companies in India, will enter the lending space this month, becoming the first among the top wallet companies to facilitate personal loans.

Paytm and Freecharge have been offering business loans to small merchants, but are yet to tap the consumer loan segment. MobiKwik will give short-term credit to its users for one-time festive buying from its merchant partners as well as for other personal transactions.
