Agency ready to provide telemedicine in Nigeria

The Nigerian Communication Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) said in its bulletin in Abuja that telemedicine would make healthcare available to the citizens and timely.
Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technologies in order to provide clinical healthcare at a distance.
It helps eliminate distance barriers and can improve access to medical services that would often not be consistently available in distant rural communities.
