Hebah Fisher is a fourth year undergraduate Global Development Studies major at the University of Virginia. Her studies focus on the impact of microfinance and business training on poverty alleviation in the Middle East and North Africa regions.

In pursuit of these interests, Hebah leads an organisation called Student Entrepreneurs for Economic Development (SEED), which offers free consulting services to small and start-up NGOs managing socioeconomic development projects.

She currently interns for the non-financial services department of the Family Bank, an Islamic microfinance bank in Bahrain.
