Ashoka’s Full Economic Citizen Initiative

Dimson currently works as a Senior Manager for Ashoka’s Full Economic Citizenship-Housing for All (HFA) initiative. With HFA new home and home improvement ventures in Brazil, Colombia and India, Ms. Dimson codifies learning across regions and uses the data, information and anecdotal stories of experience to help FEC enable sustainable business models for various housing stakeholders.

Prior to joining Ashoka-FEC, Ms. Dimson served as a 2010 Global Fellow for Acumen Fund, a global social venture capital firm. In her role as a Global Fellow, Sarah worked in Lahore, Pakistan, providing project management and operational support to Ansaar Management Company (AMC), an affordable housing developer and Acumen Fund investee.

Sarah began her career in affordable housing and urban development at Abode Communities where she worked as a Project Manager for nearly five years.

Ms. Dimson is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional, per the U.S. Green Building Council. Sarah is also a Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Housing Development Institute Fellow and a Coro Public Affairs Leadership Fellow. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in Science, Technology and Society (STS), with a concentration in Management Science & Engineering. While attending Stanford University, Sarah studied abroad at Oxford University with coursework in economics, at Sa?d Business School, and modern architecture. Finally, Sarah is a first generation Ghanaian with interests in documentary film production and sports.
