Summary
The Ye! Youth Ecopreneur Program is a global accelerator that powers the green and just transition by investing in young entrepreneurs as catalysts for sustainable development, environmental justice, and advocacy for climate action. The project seeks to enhance the competitiveness and scale of youth-led green businesses, with a strong focus on land restoration. Through a Global Bootcamp, Accelerator, and Youth Ecopreneur Awards, it provides comprehensive support, including training, mentorship, and financial support, to youth-led green businesses. Partners include the G20 Global Land Initiative, WIPO, Sidley Austin LLP, and Google Startup for Sustainable Development. The five-year Program is designed as a multi-stakeholder initiative that allows ITC projects and partners to opt-in, leveraging and scaling within the existing structure. The acceleration program onboards new participants every year.
Supporting young entrepreneurs in green business and sustainable solutions
The Youth Ecopreneur Programme (YECO), powered by the International Trade Centre and the G20 Global Land Initiative, supports young entrepreneurs leading innovation in green business and sustainable solutions. The programme offers a comprehensive journey starting with the Global Bootcamp, featuring trainings and e-learning, followed by the Global Accelerator, which provides tailored coaching, expert mentorship, and masterclasses. The programme concludes with the Youth Ecopreneur Awards, celebrating the most promising ecopreneurs on a global stage. In 2024, YECO received over 850 applications from more than 100 countries, with participants competing in two core areas: Land Restoration and Green Business Solutions. We are supported by key partners such as Google for Startups for Sustainable Development, WIPO, and Sidley Austin.
