For this round of calls, the Learning Hub is seeking to generate and inculcate learnings on how to strengthen the effectiveness of country platforms in mobilizing private capital, particularly at the local level, by integrating blended finance strategies.
The CC Facility Learning Hub is committed to partnering with institutions in EMDEs to become leaders in researching, developing, and funding locally-led blended climate finance solutions. The Learning Hub runs ongoing requests for proposals to support local institutions in identifying blended climate finance approaches that can crowd in domestic investors across climate sub-sectors. By partnering with local organizations best placed to understand national climate finance needs, the Learning Hub seeks to amplify local voices and build its partners’ technical capacity in climate finance.
The Learning Hub has awarded three research grants to institutions focused on solutions to increase local capital for blended finance climate initiatives in EMDEs. The recipients to date are: I&P Ecosystems, Makarere University Business School (MUBS) Climate Finance and Sustainability Centre, and Genesis Analytics.
