The Agrifood Investment Connector is CLIC’s platform to support early- and growth- stage agri-SMEs with access to funding. We work with climate- and nature-positive enterprises across the agrifood value chain in emerging markets and developing economies.
CLIC applies a data-driven, evidence-based methodology to assess agri-SMEs’ climate and nature impacts. You will receive:
A comprehensive climate and nature impact assessment report
A pitch deck integrated with climate and nature impact information
The following businesses are eligible to apply:
A legally incorporated and for-profit enterprise engaged in agriculture and food systems, with its primary operations in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) or Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
Early- or growth-stage and post-revenue, with at least two years of operations.
For SSA applicants: one years’ of audited financial statements. For LAC applicants: financial statements compiled by a certified accountant for the previous two financial years.
Actively seeking commercial capital, whether through debt or equity financing. A fundraising strategy including grants is also acceptable.
Implementing or planning to implement climate- and nature-positive practices within its operations, or offering climate and nature intelligence, products, or services to the agrifood sector.
The management team should have at least two people, one of which should be able to commit to the time requirements of the program and will be our main point of contact. The main contact should have business-level fluency in English.
