The Aguka Ideation Programme

The AGUKA IDEATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME is a partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, UNDP Rwanda and the Rwandan Ministry of Youths and Arts to support 100 Rwandan entrepreneurs between 18 -30 with business ideas with a seed capital of $3000 each.

THE APPLICATION FORM
The application form consists of 5 sections:

1. Personal Information
2. Business Idea & Information
3. Business Industry
4. Business Acumen Test
5. Declarations

To ensure a transparent application process, all applicants must upload a valid government issued ID and indicate their name on the application form and on TEFConnect exactly as it appears on the ID card.

ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

1. Complete all mandatory fields in the online application form on TEFConnect.
2. Submit the form.
3. Attach all the requested documents (valid identity card and photo headshot) and upload the required documents.
4. Receive a notification on screen the TEFConnect Platform & via email on the next steps.

Please Note: TEFConnect can only be accessed by a single email account. It is important that all applicants register with an email to which they have regular access.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE PROGRAMME?

The Aguka Ideation Entrepreneurship Programme identifies outstanding young Rwandan entrepreneurs who have business ideas with the potential to grow. The Programme will be delivered in different phases as listed below:

1. The Application
2. Physical Onboarding event & Verification Exercise
3. The Business Management Training
4. Business Assessment Survey Phase
5. Physical Pitching Competition
6. Seed Capital Phase

THE APPLICATION PHASE

The Aguka Ideation Entrepreneurship Programme Application will launch on the 1st of November 2025 (WAT) to the 11th of January 2026 at Midnight (WAT). All applicants are expected to complete the application form by providing valid and accurate responses to the questions.

THE AGUKA IDEATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME

After the application phase, the eligible applicants will be informed and allowed to participate in the Programme, which comprises of attending the Physical Onboarding & Verification Exercise, the Business training, Business assessment survey, the Physical pitching competition and Seed capital Disbursement.

All participants must attend the onboarding session to learn more about the program, its phases, timelines, and the resources available to succeed in the program.

All Ineligible applicants will also be contacted via email.
