Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to work closely with the founders to build the policy vertical of the organisation through rigorous data analysis and creation of evidence backed collaterals. This will involve conducting literature reviews, analysing government policies and programs, reviewing existing evidence, designing impact evaluations for own implementation and liaisoning with academics and experts to produce sharp insights, policy briefs and actionable toolkits.
This leadership role requires a deep understanding of public policy in India, social research methodologies, program evaluation, and a passion for making a positive impact.Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute a research plan with the objective of addressing existing breakpoints in the system and keeping policy makers and policy influencers as a key target audience
Undertake rigorous analysis of the cash transfer movement in India to understand gap areas and potential solutions, to strengthen DEEP’s role in enabling cost effective impact at scale

Research & Data Analysis:
Build strong research hypothesis and associated tools to strengthen program implementation
Work closely with the program team for monitoring and evaluation and data analysis
Produce comprehensive research reports, whitepapers, and presentations for stakeholders
Ensure wide dissemination of insights of the cash transfer movement, including existing schemes, own implementation and global research

Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with bureaucrats and experts in the policy space, jointly with the founders

Build and maintain relations with key academics, researchers and experts in the global cash transfer space

Capacity building of internal teams to understand best practices of research, evaluation and writing
