Our activities in Ghana cover three priority areas: Climate and Energy, Just Transition; Sustainable Economic Development, Training and Employment, and Peaceful and Inclusive Societies, which focuses on good governance.

Project Brief: Participation, Accountability and Integrity for a resilient Democracy (PAIReD) – The PAIReD programme supports key state and civil society actors in building up capacities to implement a citizen-oriented, integer and accountable governance on local and national level. A special focus is placed on improving tax policy and tax management for a fairer and more sustainable mobilization of revenue and strengthening the regulatory capacities of the public administration for a more accountable and transparent expenditure planning. Furthermore, the capacities of state institutions for uncovering and prosecuting cases of corruption and money laundering are strengthened and competencies of civil society and media for their participation in accountability processes are being improved.

• P Scope of Role: In your role you are responsible to assist in formulating and producing targeted and related PR content that is to be disseminated via various internal and external platforms and implementing communication strategy. Tasks: • Assist in collecting and documenting key insights and success stories from programme activities to create content that highlights programme impact and informs future initiatives.

• Schedule, draft and edit engaging social media content that effectively communicates programme outcomes taking into consideration donor requirements as well as partner and target group interests.

• Compile, edit and distribute an internal communication product on weekly updated on programme activities and relevant news to foster internal communication and to keep the programme team informed and engaged.

• Contribute proactively to the further development of communication plans that showcase programme achievements.

• Assist in drafting, sharing and updating guidelines and manuals that standardize the development of communication products within the programme team.

• Regularly update a centralized digital library of reports, articles, press clippings and visual resources for easy access and reference by the programme team and manage a tracking system to monitor reach and impact, and oversee timely distribution of communication materials across different channels (social media, intranet, website, etc.)

• Assist the development of knowledge management and filing structures for the programme and the Governance and Peace Cluster and coordinate training sessions on knowledge management to improve team efficiency and collaboration. Profile:

• University degree BA/BSc in Communication Studies or comparable.

• One (1) year professional experience in a comparable position with a focus on results communication in international development, social media content creation, preferably within GIZ, will be of advantage.

• Good knowledge of MS Office, esp. Word and PowerPoint.

• Good communication skills and excellent command of written and spoken English language.

• Solution-driven mindset.

• Attention to detail and high-quality results-oriented performance.

• Punctual, well-structured and organized working method, also when under time pressure.

• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.
