OVERVIEW:

Terratai is a mission-driven company disrupting how to finance nature by de-risking investments into businesses that protect, restore and manage our most at-risk ecosystems. We provide early-stage finance and tailored company-building services to build businesses that tackle the drivers of ecosystem and biodiversity loss in Asia’s most at-risk land and seascapes. We are currently scaling our model across Southeast Asia through HIVE (Holistic Investments in Vital Ecosystems), Terratai’s new blended finance facility.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Investment Manager will independently lead the screening, due diligence, and structuring of impact investments into early-stage, nature-positive companies, working closely with and under the guidance of the Head of Investments.

We are seeking an experienced investment professional with strong core capabilities, including industry research, financial modeling, and preparation of investment memorandum, alongside excellent negotiation and communication skills.

The ideal candidate is comfortable being the first investor and is committed to supporting companies in becoming investment-ready over time.

With a current ticket size of up to $0.5M, the Senior Investment Manager is expected to independently manage the end-to-end investment process, completing approximately 3 to 4 transactions per year with input from the broader team.

Post-investment, the role will also play a critical part in supporting portfolio companies, including advising on follow-on fundraising and providing strategic guidance to help them scale.

Our ideal candidate will have strong experience within Impact Investing, Venture Capital, or Project Finance and who is now looking to apply these skills within an ambitious, mission-driven company where they will play a pivotal role in addressing major nature, climate challenges across Southeast Asia.
