MCE currently manages $100 million in assets via two funding models: 1) MCE’s long-time evergreen model and 2) the MCE Empowering Sustainable Agriculture fund, launched in 2023.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

● Prepare, review, and post accounting transactions to ensure accurate financial records

● Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations

● Research and resolve discrepancies related to account balances, transactions, and supporting documentation

● Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and financial reporting ● Day to day monitoring and entering of bank activity

● Manage and initiate various types of payables and disbursement requests through the banking portals ensuring accurate approvals and financial processing

● Enter lender and borrower transactions within the ERP system

● Process and send client invoices and payment reminders with accuracy and timeliness

● Partner with third-party payroll providers to initiate and review payroll processes on a timely basis and with discretion

● Facilitate communications, reporting and ad-hoc analyses that support payroll operations

● Help maintain internal controls and support compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

● Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency within accounting operations

● Provide support for ad hoc reporting, special projects, and other accounting duties as assigned
