Way back in 1980, Bill Drayton recognized the power of an idea to change the world. As the founder and CEO of Ashoka-Innovators for the Public, he has led the creation of a global network of 3,000 social entrepreneurs. Ashoka likes to call it the citizen sector - because it believes that when people come together to create positive social change, they become citizens in the fullest sense. On a visit to India, Drayton, who is regarded as the 'Father of social enterpreneurship', spoke with Madhavi Rajadhyaksha on the importance of change-making in today's ecosystem.

Crowdsourced microlending platform Milaap raises $1.1M from Jungle Ventures, Skype co-founder & others
