Analysis: Three Ways to Put Women at Heart of Plugging the Green Skills Gap

Green skills is an area that needs focus from businesses and policymakers to ensure the global energy transition is not slowed. As Europe – along with the rest of the world – decarbonises, green roles are increasing and becoming more varied, and possessing green skills has never been more valuable.
But we have a problem. While the green transition is expected to have a net-positive impact on job creation, with benefits seen in clean energy, electrification, energy efficiency and research and development, many businesses still haven’t implemented programmes to upskill and create opportunities for their workforces.
