Wednesday, May 14, 2014

The Bank of Africa Tanzania has started giving loans to health sector institutions such as health centers, dispensaries and hospitals to enable them improve services.

A Senior Marketing Officer at the bank, Mr. Solomon Haule, told journalists over the weekend in Dar es Salaam that the loan facility named ‘Tiba Finance’ seeks to support developing health sector in Tanzania. “We want to be part of improving this crucial sector in our country,” he said.

He noted that the loans which started last month have low interest and can be long or short term. Various health centres and hospitals face challenges and the bank believes that through such a facility, many of them can be solved.
