In an effort to make cancer care affordable, Cancer Institute has partnered with ‘goClinix’, through which it plans to reach out to the underprivileged.

According to chairman of surgical oncology of Adyar Cancer Institute Dr E Hemanth Raj, ‘goClinix’ would bring in affordable medicine which can serve a lot of people.

Speaking at the inauguration of the goClinix centre in the city, he said, “The concept of family physician has vanished and is being replaced by secondary and tertiary care hospitals. goClinix will be the primary healthcare option and can fulfill the needs of the local people.”

“The Adayar Cancer Institute will also partner with goClinix Medical centre to conduct monthly cancer screening and awareness camps,” said Hemanth Raj.

“The aim is to bring the concept of family doctor back. This will help the people access all medical needs at goClinix centre. We have centres at Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and now we are opening the 6th in Chennai,” said co-founder and managing director of goClinix Healthcare Dr Rajesh Nadipati.
