Ennovent, Ankur Capital Invests In ERC Eye Care

Assam-based ERC Eye Care has raised funds form Ennovent Impact Investment Holding and Ankur Capital along with participation from angel investor Sadeesh Raghavan and Ennovent Circle, ET states.

The company would use the funds for expanding number of vision centres and to launch its first hub hospital. It also aims to further scale ERC’s IT systems, telemedicine facilities and its quality standards.

Founded by Parveez Ubed, ERC-eye care center provides low-cost, high-quality eye care and surgical procedures to the marginalized population. It also offers Consultation, Pharmacy, Diagnostic tests, Optical retail and Surgery.

It has been running a single centre in Jorhat since 2011 and now plans to offer similar services across underserved areas of the region, in addition to upgrading to include surgical services. It opened their second centre in November 2012.
