FINCA Mexico Awarded Smart Certification for Keeping Clients First

MEXICO CITY and WASHINGTON — Today, Financiera FINCA, S.A. de C.V. SOFOM E.N. R (FINCA Mexico), a leading microfinance organization, announced it received Client Protection Certification by the Smart Campaign recognizing its strong ethical standards on client care and protection. FINCA Mexico is the fourth FINCA subsidiary to join an exclusive group of certified financial institutions worldwide, including FINCA Bank Georgia, FINCA Kyrgyzstan and FINCA Azerbaijan.

For 27 years, FINCA Mexico has provided financial services, such as village banking loans, small group loans and individual loans, to small business owners to increase their income, create jobs and improve lives. The institution caters to the unbanked inMexico, including over 85 percent of its clients that are low-income women.
