Flipkart leans on fintech for profitability, says Bansal

Flipkart group chairman Sachin Bansal said the company’s focus on financial technology solutions will help drive the platform towards profitability.
“Financial services is very profitable. We have data and customer trust to build it on. It is a great way to drive more transactions and also profitability for the platform,” Bansal told ET on the sidelines of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, where he was part of a panel discussion about payments.
