GE Healthcare India aims for 15-20% growth in 2013

Global medical technologies major GE Healthcare today said it was aiming for 15 to 20 per cent growth in India operations during this year.

“We are looking at 15 to 20 per cent growth in India operations this year… The company’s revenue was USD 570 million last year,” GE Healthcare South Asia President and CEO Terri Bresenham told reporters here.

Stating that India represents about 5 per cent of the global healthcare revenues, Tom Gentile, President & CEO Healthcare Systems GE Healthcare, said “… a bigger chunk of our software activity that promotes our business globally originates here in India.”

He said “…we have 1,600 healthcare engineers here in Bangalore and that represent largest wing of development centre outside United States. GE Healthcare is the largest domestic health care company in India with USD 570 million revenue.”
