Today, the prime minister will stand at the Red Fort to address the nation. For a generation, the Independence Day speech has been about India’s mind-blowing progress – and today’s will be no different.
As a frequent visitor to India for more than 30 years, I agree that the country’s future is phenomenally bright. But if there were one thing you could do to make India’s prospects even more spectacular, it would be to invest more in the health of all Indians.
