In Nigeria, Accion disburses N22 billion in loans

Accion Microfinance Bank Limited (AMFB) at the weekend said the total amount of loans disbursed to customers since 2007 when it commenced operations currently stood at N21.7 billion. A total of 110,000 customers benefitted from the aforementioned amount.

Accion MFB has fully paid-up share capital of N1.205 billion as well as total asset of N3.9 billion. Speaking at the organisation’s annual customers’ forum in Lagos, its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Bunmi Lawson, commended the customers for their patronage. She also reassured them that Accion microfinance was focused to empower micro-entrepreneurs and low income earners by providing access to financial services in a sustainable, ethical and profitable manner.
