India’s microfinance industry posts 43% growth in Q3

Microfinance industry posted 43.1 per cent growth in December quarter 2018 as compared to the year-ago period, with a total loan portfolio of ₹1,66,284 crore, a report by MFIN said on Monday.
The total number of microfinance accounts also witnessed an annual growth of 24.3 per cent with 8.91 crore active loan accounts in the third quarter of 2018-19, the report said.
