Doctors from across the globe flew down to Bangalore to discuss different healing traditions for chronic diseases. The verdict was unanimous despite the systems of medicine they practised: that conventional medicine cannot provide all the answers and that there is a veering towards an integrated approach.

Prince Charles, whose speech was webcast, summed up the thought. “The West has much to learn from the East and vice versa. Of course, modern medicine has completely revolutionized the care of a large number of serious conditions…Nonetheless, we also need to retain the best of the healing wisdom that precede it, wisdom that was invariably developed over countless generations,” he said.
