Klick Foundation Pledges $850 Million to Cut Carbon Emissions in Ghana

The Klick Foundation has committed $850 million to fund six carbon reduction projects in Ghana, aiming to cut emissions by six million tonnes and generate 7,000 jobs by 2023. These projects span various sectors, including green cooling air conditioning systems, clean cooking solutions, renewable energy, electric mobility, composting, and sustainable agriculture in palm oil and rice production. The initiatives also promise substantial health benefits, particularly for women and children, and further advance Ghana’s innovation ecosystem.
