Naspers Invests US$9 Million in Colombian Startup Mercadoni
Since the last investment that Mercadoni received six months ago (US$6.2 million), the company has tripled its number of orders.
Come back and play. Just six months ago, the online home delivery platform Mercadoni had raised US$6.2 million in one of the largest investments for a Colombian startup. Now, the startup that also operates in Mexico and Argentina sets the bar even higher by closing an investment round for US$9 million from Naspers , through its Brazilian investment vehicle Movile .
Naspers is a South African group with a market value of more than US$100,000 million and is one of the largest investment funds in the world that has bet on several Internet giants such as OLX or Flipkart -the largest Ecommerce in India-, among others.
