New U.S. Impact Investing Platform’s First Issuer Has Something For Everyone

There’s a new platform linking impact investors with for-profits and nonprofit social ventures in the U.S. Called SVX.US, it relies on the same technology used by Toronto-based Social Venture Connexion (SVX).

The official launch took place on the steps of the Pacific Exchange in San Francisco earlier this month.

One goal is to open up impact investing to a wider group of funders. So, appropriately enough, its first issuer is TechSoup, a 30-year-old nonprofit sharing the same objective. It’s offering three types of notes in hopes of attracting participation by funders ranging from big foundations to individuals.
